Freddie is an English musician based in London. His musical life began as a choral scholar at Downside Abbey and won a scholarship to Westminster Cathedral where he worked as assistant to Martin Baker, Master of Music, and also performed regularly in the cathedral. He has travelled around the world in a professional chamber choir singing the works of composers such as Faure, Byrd and Palestrina in some of the most prestigious buildings, from St Paul’s Cathedral, Frauenkirche Church in Munich to St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican. He went on to study opera at Associated Studios, Morley Opera and The National Opera Studio under Della Jones, Steven Maughan (Glyndebourne) and Mary Hill (Royal College of Music).
That training in the classical tradition now sits beneath everything he does. His voice has been used on Netflix’s The Witcher, and he has vocal produced on sessions at Pinewood studios for Digger, the latest Tom Cruise film. He also scores for film and television, writes and produces for artist projects and works as a vocal coach from his studio. Whether he is writing, arranging, producing, performing or coaching, he brings a rare range of experience and an instinct for what a piece of music or performance needs.
Various clients include Joe Trapanese (Tron Legacy/Oblivion), BMI, Loyd Grossman, Netflix, Bloodaxe Studios and Warner Bros Studios
Freddie is also the music director of Mercer Books, transcribing, transposing and arranging the music for their publications.
